Seal Skull Hammer is a Canadian band that was horn high in the majestic mountains of the sunny Shuswap In beautiful British Columbia. Sprung from once-a-week summer jam sessions, these three melodious mountain musicians have joined forces, moving off Alton Gowen, front porch and onto the stage, as the super jug band Seal Skull Hammer.

These three de-It-yourselves of the doctrinal dirty are named for the idea of using archaic tools to build what they need, the band prides itself on having the lowest-tach gear possible to make chair musla giving up doctored sound effects and synthesizers f or home-made Instruments ancl hillbilly harmonies.

These three chaps in snaps Men started playing numerous shows on Me coffee house circuit receiving rave reviews. The band moved on to playing the Routes Blues twice, the Sicamous Mushroom fest the Salmon Arm Fall Fair, the busker stage et the Roots and Blues, a complete concert and interview on the local radio station 93.7 Voice Of The Shuswap and finally the

release of the first album: 'Better Together' consisting of ten original songs written by Seal Skull Hammer for their now loyal and growing fan-base.

These moonshine merry men. Herrin Hefting, Alton Gowen and John Fleming, put on a grand ol' show with lots of banter, not just playing mountain music hut embodying it with accents expressions and entertaining antics. These hillbillies of hilarity aim to bring music back to a simpler time; a time when people talked face to face, danced with each other and valued a sense of community.

yes, its back to the basics for these purveyors of the primitive who are fed up with the sounds of much of today's "over-produced". mus,with the summon belief that what music should produce is a sense of happiness. togetherness, and contentment not the opposite.
